The Wesak festival commemorates both the birth and the parinirvana of the Buddha. This significant occasion was observed on 13th May 2025.

Hindu Diwali Festival

The Diwali Festival of Lights is a re-nowned Hindu celebration, which will be observed on the 20th of October later in 2025.

Sikh Vaisakhi Festival

The Sikh festival of Vaisakhi, which commemorates both the harvest and the New Year was observed on 13 April 2025.

**Interactive Religious Education Workshops** 

All of our SMSC workshops are meticulously aligned with the National Curriculum and the Curriculum for Excellence in Scotland. Our unwavering commitment to service and attention to detail has established us as a leader in the UK industry. 

We provide educational institutions with a diverse selection of activities that highlight significant Hindu, Buddhist, and Sikh festivals, including Diwali, Holi, Wesak, and Vaisakhi. Additionally, we offer a specialised workshop titled "History of India," which provides a concise overview of all three Indic Religious Education subjects.

**SMSC School Services**

BHS Educational Workshops offer an accessible and valuable Religious Education (RE) and Social, Moral, Spiritual, and Cultural (SMSC) service tailored for schools. To date, over 1,200 educational institutions across the UK and Ireland have benefited from our comprehensive presentations on Eastern religious practices, encompassing Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, as well as activities such as Meditation and Henna art. 

For more than sixteen years, BHS Educational Workshops have dedicated themselves to enhancing the understanding of various faiths and beliefs within the United Kingdom's diverse society, thereby fostering an informed and inclusive educational environment for both students and staff.

**Lesson Content:** 

The educational lessons comprise elements from various academic disciplines, including mathematics, history, geography, linguistics, ecology, and sciences. Heads of Schools and Religious Education Coordinators from numerous institutions have commended and ac-knowledged the distinctive approach employed in the delivery of BHS lessons.

Tactile Skills Development Workshops for EYFS
