History of India
The history of India workshop comprehensively covers India's history from the archaic Vedic age through Buddhism then Sikhsim, up to the rule of the British Raj.

Hinduism Module
Within Hinduism we present three concepts of God; the administrative demigods and goddesses who reside in the upper planetary systems and the multifarious servants of God.

Buddhism Module
Students learn about the life and teachings of the Buddha. The four noble truths, eightfold path and the articles of worship are presented in an easy to understand systematic fashion.

Sikhism Module
A Sikhism school visit will provide your students with a compre-hensive understanding of Sikhism. Children get to dress up as Sikh men called singh or lion and Sikh ladies called kaur or princess.

India Music/Dance
Indian music and dance are profoundly embedded in the cultural and historical fabric of India, reflecting a rich tapestry of both classical and folk traditions like the modern Bangra dance.

Diwali Festival
A Diwali school visit celebrates the richness of Hinduism and Sikhism. It promises to be extraordinary! BHS staff have gathered an impressive array of festive artefacts and costumes that will inspire both pupils and staff alike.

Story Telling
Children get to dress up during our story telling module. This generally includes face painting and a fun opportunity to do a little acting. The kids and teachers love it!

Majestic Costumes
BHS bring an elaborate wardrobe of authentic costumes with gorgeous jewellery. Teachers often comment how impressed they are when the children are dressed up as characters from the R.E. subject.

Meditation Module
Mindfulness meditation is a way of paying attention to, and seeing clearly whatever is happening in our lives. It helps to reduce stress as well as to develop more focus and mental clarity.

Mock Wedding
Our Hindu mock wedding is a great way for students to learn about the way Hindus get married. Children dress as a Hindu bride and groom with beautiful jewellery and clothes. Other children enact parts of parents, best man and the priest.

KS1 Module
The younger children love getting dressed up and taking part in a festival or story. The children in the above photo were enjoying a Diwali festival workshop. Lessons include tactile elements where children could handle a variety of items.

Mehndi Module
Numerous educators and students have expressed interest in these sessions. Consequently, upon request, we can organise either a single session during a school visit or an entire day dedicated to Henna artistry.
